LIKE A LOCAL HAS ALSO RECEIVED THIS AWARD FOR 2017, 2016, 2015 & 2014.

Like A Local brings you immersive experiences for tourists and locals alike. We showcase NYC and Brooklyn neighborhoods through food, fashion and art. Every guide is a working actor, so each experience is packed with personality, incredible stories and cultural anecdotes. There is no better way to know a neighborhood and savor its unique charm than by walking in the shoes of its residents.

GIVING BACK: Like A Local Tours is proud to donate $2 for every ticket sold to a highly rated charity! We are giving away $10,000 a year and it feels GOOD!

This year’s charities are: Reach The World, Tourism Cares and Human Impact Institute.

Did you know that the first baseball game was played in Madison Square Park, there are over 40 incredible wineries on the North Fork of Long Island, at the turn of the twentieth century there were 50 breweries in Brooklyn, or that one facility in the middle of Manhattan makes tons of cheese per week? Frequently listed at one of the Top 10 Tour Companies in NYC, our vibe is gourmet food, street art, hidden gems, history, architecture, wine, craft beer … you get it. We are made for locals and tourists alike!

Lauren with patricia fields, fashion icon and costume designer for sex and the city.

It all started when…

Originally from Wisconsin, Lauren Beebe grew up in Minnesota, Texas and Pennsylvania. A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Lauren has lived in NYC since 2004. Lauren has over 10 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industries. Passionate about people and knowing the best places to go, as well as possessing an entrepreneurial spirit, it was only a matter of time before Like A Local was formed. Lauren serves on the board of two non-profits and has spoken about local and sustainable travel at several travel conferences.

She loves hidden gems, flea markets, vintage shopping and live music. Her other passions include traveling (of course!), interior design and tending to her urban vegetable and rose gardens.
